Rick Chavie, CEO

Rick Chavie, CEO

Rick Chavie was appointed CEO of EnterWorks in May 2015. He came to EnterWorks after serving as SVP, Global Solution Management with hybris and SAP’s Customer Engagement and Commerce group, where he brought together digital and physical commerce and CRM assets for seamless customer experiences. Mr. Chavie brings industry experience from his leadership roles at retailers such as The Home Depot and C&A. He brings technology experience from his role as the global marketing leader for NCR’s retail and hospitality business, and management consulting expertise from his partner roles at Deloitte and Accenture, where he served clients across retail, branded consumer and wholesale verticals. Chavie is a Harvard MBA, a Fulbright Scholar in International Trade, and a summa cum laude graduate from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. He is a noted speaker at industry events, an author on the wholesale industry, and frequently comments on commerce, marketing and customer engagement topics.

Kerry Young joined EnterWorks in 2006 when Ennovative, Inc., the multi-channel publishing software company he co-founded, was acquired by EnterWorks. He directs EnterWorks’ operations and leads EnterWorks’ professonal services and consulting organization, ensuring effective customer implementions and ongoing success. Mr. Young brings more than 25 years of technology and business management experience to EnterWorks, having served as CTO for a subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company, and earlier as VP, Information Technology for Marshall Industries, a $1.7 billion industrial electronics distributor. He previously managed information systems for a subsidiary of McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Mr. Young holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an M.B.A. from California State University Fullerton.

Susan Magi, Vice President, Marketing

Susan Magi joined EnterWorks in June 2015 as Vice President of Marketing Programs. She has broad experience in all facets of business marketing, including brand and product management, direct marketing, analyst relations and market research. Magi came to EnterWorks after serving as the senior marketing executive at Riversand Technologies, where she led global marketing, demand generation, sales operations and analyst relations. Magi has extensive experience in retail and commerce from her prior marketing roles at VendorNet/eBay and Blue Martini/Escalate Retail, where she managed corporate marketing, marketing communications, demand generation and inside sales. Magi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Florida Atlantic University.

John Jones, VP Products & CTO

John Jones, VP Products & CTO

John Jones joined EnterWorks in 1998 as a practice manager for professional services, and was named Executive Director of Product Management in 2004. He became Vice President of Products in 2006. Mr. Jones oversees the entire cycle of product development to ensure delivery of efficient, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions that exceed our customer’s expectations. Mr. Jones has over 20 years experience, having held various positions in information systems engineering and operations management. He earned a BS degree from Randolph-Macon College and a MS/MIS degree from George Washington University.

Rusty DiNicola, Global VP of Professional Services

Rusty DiNicola joined EnterWorks in September 2015 as Vice President of Professional Services. DiNicola comes to EnterWorks with more than 20 years of experience in building professional service organizations and delivering a variety of solutions in industries such as energy, manufacturing, retail, consumer goods and pharmaceutical. Most recently, DiNicola was the senior principal at Daugherty Business Solutions, delivering a range of consulting services to Fortune 500 clients. Previously, he was the SVP of global operations at Riversand, a provider of PIM and MDM solutions. DiNicola has also served in leadership roles at Quorum Business Solutions, a software solutions provider, PwC and EDS. DiNicola holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Virginia Tech and will be tasked with growing the overall internal and external delivery capacity of professional services in support of EnterWorks’ growing client base, offerings and services partners.

Chairman of EnterWorks, Digital Foodie, and WorkJam. Irwin Kramer has been a pioneer in supply chain enterprise systems, and e-commerce for retail, manufacturing and distribution companies. He has a proven track record building software and service companies from a start-up phase to a global leader in supply chain, marketing and e-commerce systems, including developing strong management teams, leading the way in new technological developments and building global organizations.

As Director at hybris, CEO at iCongo, and CEO at Richter Systems, he led companies to exceptionally successful exits. His eCommerce and ERP experience extends to many major world-renowned retailers and brands. Kramer’s entrepreneurial career began with Richter Systems, a leading software development firm specializing in enterprise supply chain systems for the retail and soft goods manufacturing/distribution industries.

After growing and successfully selling Richter, Kramer founded iCongo to extend enterprise business systems to enable online trade between distributors, manufacturers and retailers, large and small, and to improve the dissemination of company information and the efficiency of the supply chain. iCongo’s e-commerce platform became a recognized world leader. In 2013 the company merged with hybris, a European company, and in 2014 the combined company was purchased by SAP.

Louis Hernandez Jr.

Louis Hernandez Jr. is an award-winning entrepreneur, investor, author and philanthropist. He is the founder and managing director of Black Dragon Capital, a next generation private equity firm created for and by entrepreneurs. He founded the company after years of successfully operating, advising and investing in technology companies in all phases of development. His accomplishments include serving as chairman and chief executive officer of fintech software company Open Solutions and more recently as chairman and CEO of Avid, a publicly traded provider of media-related technology.

Hernandez is the author of three books, “Saving the American Dream,” “Too Small to Fail,” and “The Storyteller’s Dilemma.” He has received professional distinctions for his expertise in business and technology and has appeared on Fox Business, CNBC, ABC News, and Bloomberg TV, where he discusses technology, economics, strategic planning and globalization. He has served on numerous corporate boards, including HSBC North America Holdings, HSBC USA, Mobius Management Systems, Unica and Edison International.

Tim Greenfield, Partner, Black Dragon Capital

Tim Greenfield, is a Partner of Black Dragon Capital. He is a proven business builder with a track record in growing Fin Tech, mobile, e-commerce and software businesses as well as broad experience in acquisitions, capital raising and strategy. Tim’s role at BDC spans the full investment cycle, from sourcing and due diligence to post transaction integration, strategy and operational improvement through to a liquidity event or full exit. His areas of focus include financial leadership, operating oriented transaction and deal making, and capital raising, as well as strategic planning, commercial growth, operational efficiency and financial controls for BDC and its portfolio companies.​

Prior to BDC, Tim served as Chief Revenue Officer and President of Mobile Commerce and Payment Processing for Net Element helping build a leading mobile payment business in Eastern Europe and a growing payment processing business in the U.S. Prior to Net Element Mr. Greenfield was President of Gold Mobile, an early stage mobile firm that offered a mobile wallet solution, customer relationship management (CRM), mobile apps and mobile couponing products. He also acquired and successfully exited a distribution business and led the turnaround of a distressed industrial company.

Steven Keith Platt serves as Research Director of the Retail Analytics Council, an initiative between the Medill School, Integrated Marketing Communications department, Northwestern University and PRI. Platt also serves as the Director and Research Fellow of The Platt Retail Institute, an international consulting and research firm that focuses on leveraging technology to impact the consumer experience. Central to this is building actionable data models that aid retailers and technology companies in gaining insights into their customers and operations.

Steven received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Marketing from the Boston University School of Management. He also has a Law Degree and an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University, where he served as Articles Editor for the University’s Journal of Tax Law. He has authored many studies about retail analytics and digital communication networks, and has published articles in journals including the American Bankers Association Journal, Digital Signage Quarterly, Extended Retail Solutions, Retail Information Systems News, the Retail Solutions Providers Association Magazine, and the Retail Navigator, among many others. He has been quoted in publications including Bloomberg, Business Week, Chain Store Age, the Chicago Tribune, DSN Retailing Today, Inc. Magazine, RFID Journal, Stores Magazine, the San Jose Mercury News, Time Magazine, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal. Deborah Weinswig is an award-winning global retail analyst and a specialist in retail innovation and technology. Deborah is responsible for building research capabilities and providing insights into the disruptive technologies reshaping today’s global retail landscape. Her in-depth knowledge and understanding of global retail and emerging technology trends were fostered through her previous experience, which included serving as Head of the Global Staples & Consumer Discretionary Team at Citi Research, where she worked for nearly 12 years.

For over 9 years, Weinswig has consistently ranked among the top analysts in her field by investor publications and in 2012 she was named one of Wall Street’s top analysts. In 2012, she also received the Researcher Award for Outstanding Service by the International Council of Shopping Centers. She is frequently quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Barron’s and is a regular guest on CNBC. Before her time at Citi, she held senior research positions at Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley.

Weinswig is an advocate for innovation, creativity and the implementation of efficient technologies in the retail sector and servers as a mentor to numerous Silicon Valley accelerators. She sits on the advisory boards of several startups and has helped them develop and implement retail technology systems and strategies for some of the top-tier national retailers.

Ken is a senior-level retail executive with experience leading the supply chain, IT, digital technology, Omni-Channel operations, store design, store construction, facilities and sustainability areas within large, public multi-unit retail companies. As a member of the executive committee, he developed and implemented strategies to improve operations and high growth. In coordination with the board, he led strategic transformations at the business unit and corporate levels, resulting in improved top line performance.

Munther Dahleh

Director of the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society, MIT

Munther Dahleh was appointed Director of the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society, effective July 1, 2015. He was previously the Associate Department Head of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). He is also a member of MIT’s Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS).

Prof. Dahleh is internationally known for his fundamental contributions to robust control theory, computational methods for controller design, the interplay between information and control, the fundamental limits of learning and decision in networked systems, and the detection and mitigation of systemic risk in interconnected and networked systems.
