Meet Adam Arbour – Professional Services
Q: What is your title and role at EnterWorks?
I am a Solutions Architect on the Professional Services team. My role involves working on and managing our integrations and tools that affect nearly all of our customers. In addition to project work, I also train and onboard new partners and employees through the Enable Bootcamp.
Q: Tell us a little bit about your background and how that led you to your role today.
I have a degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management, yet interestingly, my entrance into this industry was a bit of a fluke. I met someone at a birthday party who connected me with a post-production support role at another MDM software company. After that, I moved into pre-sales and started traveling and working with businesses all over the globe. Eventually, through an acquaintance, I was hired by EnterWorks as a Solutions Architect. Though I’ve been in various roles in the industry, my entire career has been based around MDM.
Q: What is most important to you?
I think the first thing I value is time. You can always be busy, but if you want to do the things that are important to you, then you have to make time.
Career-wise, what’s most important to me is helping to empower others – not being a one-man show but enabling other people to do their job; do it well; and grow their career.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
I love to travel. In a previous role, I traveled to 19 countries over the course of 3 years. I make sure to take an international trip every year. My favorite so far has been Egypt.
My other two hobbies are building custom motorcycles and making wine. I typically start with a donor bike and build them from the ground up. Everything from welding to painting. With wine, I recently got into blending and have enjoyed making my first Bordeaux.
Q: What would people be surprised to know?
I’m a very open person, so I’m not sure what people would be surprised to know – maybe that I have a mild obsession with Batman.
Q: What’s something you love about your role working with our customers?
There are two major things I love about my role and they have applied to most of my career. The first is understanding our clients “behind the scenes” so to speak. Understanding how they operate and what it takes to support their operations has always been fascinating. The behind the scenes and learning how our clients operate is something I really enjoy.
The other aspect is getting to know the people I work with on a personal level. There are many individuals, with the customers we work with, that have become friends of mine. I like to truly get to know the people I interact with.
